About this event
Plan to attend our upcoming Multi-Faith book study! This fall, dive into the 2026 Pulitzer Prize winner for Non-Fiction, “There is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America” by journalist and anthropologist Brian Goldstone.
In this powerful book, Goldstone follows five Atlanta families facing housing insecurity, using their stories to shine a light on the systemic issues and "shadow realm" of working people who lack a fixed place to sleep at night. The Pulitzer committee calls it “a feat of reportage, analysis and storytelling focusing on the issues that have created a national crisis of family homelessness among the so-called working poor.” It was also named a Book of the Year by both The New York Times and The Atlantic. Explore how working families—besieged by skyrocketing rents, low wages, and inadequate tenant protections—are becoming the new face of homelessness in the United States and discuss how to respond.
Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8 pm
The study will meet five times across eight weeks at four different Northside congregations.
