The Miami Superior Court issued a warrant for Kayla Graham's arrest when she failed to appear for a probation violation hearing. Dylan Burton, the father of Graham's children, told a Cass County sheriff' s deputy that he did not know where Graham was. The next day, the same deputy saw Burton and Graham driving together, and he arrested both. The Cass Superior Court held a bench trial and convicted Burton of Class A misdemeanor assisting a criminal. The Court of Appeals affirmed. Burton v. State, 283 N.E.3d 224 (Ind. Ct. App. June 5, 2026), trans. pending. Burton has petitioned the Indiana Supreme Court to accept jurisdiction over the appeal.
