- ➤ Indy Fuel defeated Kalamazoo 6-2 in Tuesday's Education Day game at Fishers Event Center, with Lee Lapid and Sahil Panwar each scoring twice as schoolchildren watched. Fuel will host two home games tonight and Saturday (Hockey is for Everyone Night and Blackhawks Night) with Iowa in action. WTHR
- ➤ Thursday night, Purdue point guard Braden Smith became the fifth Division I player to record 1,000 assists against No. 13 Michigan State. The Westfield senior set the Big Ten assist record earlier this season while averaging 8.7 assists per game as Purdue prepares for the tournament. WTHR
