- ➤ Hamilton Heights Middle School robotics teams 214A, 214B, 214E and 214F advanced to the state competition and will compete Saturday, March 22 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Event Center—after earning awards at local events. - ➤ Invest Hamilton County released a Child Care Action Plan after research in 2024 showed the county was 4,644 seats short and needs 9,405 seats by 2034, with 1,500 more child care workers required to help 2,339 work-willing parents return to work. - ➤ Edward Rose Properties plans to build 360 upscale apartments and retail space on a 22 acre parcel at Michigan Road and 99th Street in southwest Carmel to replace a vacant industrial building that once housed Resort Condominiums International. - ➤ Carmel’s boys soccer team won an all-county game 23-4 on Wednesday at Guerin Catholic as junior Ike Stitle scored nine goals and teammates added key contributions—the Greyhounds moved to a 3-0 record and will travel to Grand Rapids this weekend to take on Forest Hills Central Friday and East Grand Rapids Saturday.
