Good morning, Carmel.

Carmel barber Andrew Kurz, who runs the secret Royal Oak Society, won the Reason to Dance, Reason to Hope competition on March 13 to benefit Riley Hospital for Children.

Partnered with Grace Brown, he raised $41,288 and earned the Riley Children’s Choice Award after a quick $500 donation.

Forest Dale Elementary fifth-graders Emma Evans, Mila Metzing, and Olivia Moore tested Carmel’s water supply and confirmed it is safe to drink; they toured Water Treatment Plant 1 on March 30 (joined by Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam and utilities director Lane Young) to see a lab demonstration.

Braylon Mullins, a Greenfield-Central grad, is back home after his buzzer-beater sent UConn to the Final Four with his parents celebrating the historic play.

He will focus on beating Illinois tomorrow night in his bid for a national championship.
