- ➤ Today three Carmel firefighters—Joseph Box, Ronald Powers, and Corey Richards—graduated from paramedic school and are now Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedics ready to serve on Carmel Fire Department ambulances. - ➤ INDOT announced that on or after April 21, milling and paving work will begin on U.S. 31 between 116th Street and 216th Street in Carmel—motorists should expect overnight lane and ramp closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Additional safety upgrades include median barrier installation in Howard and Tipton counties starting after April 9 and planned overpass construction near SR 38 later this year and early next year.
