CULTURE NEWS

  • Sarah Litzsinger, a native of Carmel, returns to Clowes Memorial Hall as Delia Dietz in the Broadway musical Beetlejuice. The performance marks a homecoming—since she first watched a show at age 6—and runs today through April 13.  WTHR
  • Grammy award-winning country group Little Big Town will tour this summer, performing at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. Presale tickets go on sale today at noon and general tickets on April 11 at 10 a.m. — with special guests Wynonna Judd and Shelby Lynne — marking the band's first full summer headline run since 2019.  WTHR

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Carmel High School’s science bowl team led by returning members Edward Chen and Adam Madni will compete at the National Science Bowl from April 24—28 in Washington, D.C. The team, coming off a 128—88 win over Park Tudor at regionals in February, hopes to finish in the top eight by excelling in each subject area.  Current

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Carmel City Council unanimously approved waiving fees for rebuilding or repairing structures damaged by an April 2 storm that included a tornado and high winds—this fee waiver will remain in effect for a year to help affected property owners and support future disaster plans.  Current
  • Officials in Carmel announced a slate of infrastructure projects set to begin this spring to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety — plans include full closures on College Avenue in May and Main Street reconstruction on or after May 27. The projects will also add a new path on 96th Street and install raised crosswalks while essential repairs on bridges and culverts continue into 2026 — local access will be maintained during periodic closures.  WTHR
