- ➤ Crews in Carmel intensified cleanup efforts Tuesday — six days after an EF-1 tornado hit — to remove fallen trees and debris from 13 businesses and 54 homes, with five sites suffering major damage. The Smiths saw parts of their home, including the roof and chimney, destroyed while all five chickens survived; city officials said more damage assessments may be needed as residents report further issues. - ➤ Feeding Team volunteers quickly unloaded a 17-pallet donation from South Atlantic Packaging that held 6,800 food items—helping store and distribute food to neighbors before a storm arrived. The Hamilton County Reporter

- ➤ Carmel is launching several spring road construction projects to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety. College Avenue will have a full closure at 96th Street in May and will begin roundabout work while W. 96th Street gets a new path with periodic closures until October and Main Street reconstruction starts on or after May 27—additional projects include raised crosswalk installations and bridge repairs with detours.
