Good morning, Carmel.

Neighbors who opposed townhome development on 2.67 acres near 96th Street and Haverstick Road in Carmel have formed a nonprofit called Save the Tree Canopy and received 501c3 status in September—retired teacher Zelma Taylor, a long-time local, leads the group now boasting over 40 members who met on March 20 with speakers from Forests for Indy and the state forestry division.

92c Partners, a commercial real estate firm founded by Carmel resident Yumi Goodman and Kara Riggle, marked five years of growth with an expanded team of 10 and new services for project and space planning—making it the largest women-owned firm in Indiana.

The firm serves all 92 counties and is set to add more brokers and outreach to support both government and private projects.
