- ➤ The Carmel Street Department said free curbside storm debris pickup will end on Wednesday, April 30 as the city recovers from the April 2 tornado. Residents must place tree limbs and small debris beside the roadway and call the department if they need help or have storm-damaged homes — detailed instructions were provided after Mayor Sue Finkam’s emergency declaration. - ➤ The Indiana Department of Health said ticks will be active through late fall and advised residents to treat outdoor clothing with repellent and thoroughly check for ticks after being outside.
