  • Kourtney Eisberg from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School was named Indiana Teachers of Tomorrow Teacher of the Year and will receive $500 plus free professional development to support her classroom (she is also a finalist for the National Teacher of the Year award).  Current

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Carmel firefighters will begin using Qwake Technologies’ C-THRU helmet unit later this summer (one of 10 U.S. cities selected) as the flip-down screen helps them see in smoke-filled rooms and orient to exits; the Heroes Club of Carmel funded over $200,000 to support the project.  Current

  • Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark returned to the court on Saturday in a preseason game against the New York Liberty after a nine-month absence from injury. Coach Stephanie White said she played with renewed energy — a welcome sign as she fine-tuned her approach before the regular season.  WTHR
