Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 4th of May.
Good morning, Carmel.
💼 Business
Carr Workplaces at Parkwood Crossing in Carmel offers modern coworking spaces with fully furnished offices, meeting rooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, complimentary coffee and free parking for professionals; the facility, opened in November 2022, provides flexible month-to-month leases.
CEO Howard Bates of PivotCX praised the seamless move and affordable, adaptable setup—features that help small teams thrive—and noted its value compared to previous spaces.
🌲 Environment
Cindy Muse, a board member with Carmel Green Initiative, advised homeowners that proper mulching keeps trees healthy by preventing insect damage, diseases, and root rot.
She said to check existing mulch for a depth over 4 inches and to apply new mulch at 2 to 4 inches—keeping it away from the trunk for better tree growth this spring.
