- ➤ Hamilton County businesses have embraced the viral Dubai chocolate craze—first made popular in Dubai and spread widely on TikTok—and now serve unique treats made with pistachio cream, fresh strawberries and Belgian chocolate. Shops in Noblesville, Fishers and Westfield report high demand and plan to add more Dubai chocolate items soon. Current
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Mayors Scott Fadness and Chris Jensen are reviewing their budgets after Senate Bill 1 provided Indiana homeowners with a 10% property tax credit capped at $300 and cut revenues. They are considering a local income tax to help cover the lost funds—no changes have been announced yet. WRTV
- ➤ Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) opened applications today for the State Disaster Relief Fund to help uninsured or underinsured residents who suffered damage from a mine collapse on March 1, severe storms on March 15 and 19, and severe storms with flooding from March 30 to April 2; initial assistance is capped at $2,000, with more available after a complete damage assessment (the maximum payout is $25,000). - ➤ Dr. Patrick Matoole of Franciscan Health warned residents that stroke symptoms, such as weakness on one side or trouble speaking, require immediate medical help to reduce long-term disability. He explained that quick treatment using options like clot-dissolving medicine or catheter removal is important (BE FAST stands for balance, eyes, face, arm, speech, time). WTHR
