- ➤ Hamilton Southeastern Schools said that six out of 18 K-6 teachers given reduction in force notices have been recalled while 12 still face cuts due to a drop of 863 students over the last three years; the district is reducing positions in classrooms and central offices to balance its budget. - ➤ Eastern time Indiana counties will see their first 9 p.m. sunsets in May as timing varies by location; Indianapolis is set for its 9 p.m. sunset on May 23 as the days grow longer before the summer solstice. WTHR
