  • Dr. Kurt Rupenthal and longtime office manager Kathy retired at the end of June after a 40-year run, and the established practice at 5790 E. Main St was rebranded as Mouchaham Dentistry under the ownership of Drs. Laura and Nick Mouchaham. The new owners purchased the practice on the first business day of this year—maintaining an 1,800-patient base and a committed staff to continue quality care in Carmel.  Current

HEALTH NEWS

  • Hamilton County health officials are warning residents about a rise in overdoses linked to the dangerous KD drug, which is made by spraying bug spray on marijuana or tobacco — users may experience problems like trouble breathing or stiff muscles. Officials urge anyone showing signs of poisoning to call 911 immediately — and they are working with law enforcement and healthcare providers to keep the community safe.  WRTV

SPORTS NEWS

  • Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle has adjusted his style by trusting players like Tyrese Haliburton & letting them lead on the court, a change that helped the team win 50 games this season and reach the Eastern Conference finals for the second straight time.   • IndyCar drivers Alexander Rossi, Christian Rasmussen and Ed Carpenter will meet fans and serve drinks on May 21 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Carmel-based Java House in Clay Terrace—fans will also have a chance to view Ed Carpenter Racing cars and enter to win one of 100 limited edition jackets.  Current
  • Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden and Will Power will start 32nd and 33rd at the Indianapolis 500 on May 25 after failing a pre-qualifying tech inspection.
