- ➤ Carmel City Council approved speed humps on West Road between 121st and 131st on May 18, and their installation is set for this summer. Homeowners supported the measure to curb speeding + they will cover removal costs if the humps are removed within five years. Current
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ American Dairy Association Indiana, Inc. announced milk choices for all 33 Indy 500 drivers scheduled to race Sunday, May 24 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Twenty-five drivers opted for whole milk, seven picked 2% and one chose skim milk & the tradition of drinking milk after a win spans decades. WTHR
- ➤ Four Indianapolis 500 rookies participated Tuesday in the annual dairy cow milking tradition for good luck as they prepared for the race on Sunday, with the event forming part of a Rookie Luncheon hosted by the American Dairy Association Indiana. WTHR
- ➤ Indiana Fever will host the new Portland Fire today at 7 p.m. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse; both teams are tied with two wins each as the Fever ride a win over the Seattle Storm while Portland’s Caitlin Clark aims to extend her record-breaking streak. WTHR
- ➤ Former 13Sports director Dave Calabro interviewed Indy 500 drivers who shared odd observations from past races as they prepare for Sunday’s race. The drivers recalled helicopter flyovers, barbecues, and the lively scenes of the Snake Pit. WTHR
