- ➤ Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre will stage Disney's The Little Mermaid as its family show through July 13 with 60 performances planned, and tickets cost $57 to $85 plus a $10 discount for kids ages 3 to 15. - ➤ In August 2022, nurse practitioner Kelly Manicke opened Elevate Functional Medicine in Carmel after her own health issues led her to seek a different approach to care. - ➤ Today, Hamilton County Parks and Recreation partnered with the Health Department to install life-saving AEDs in climate-controlled SaveStations at local parks after over $55,000 was allocated for the project. The devices, which do not require special training, are placed at six key locations including Cool Creek, Potter’s Bridge, Prather, the Taylor Center of Natural History, White River Campground and Strawtown Koteewi Park — officials stated the installation will aid rapid response to cardiac emergencies — with training videos to be shared later. - ➤ City officials and community leaders gathered on May 21 to mark the groundbreaking of Ardalan Plaza, a $19 million, three-story project that will serve as a gateway to Carmel Arts and Design District. Construction is underway at 311 to 331 W Main St and will finish in 2026 (the project will provide retail space, gallery space, five luxury condominiums and a private residence). - ➤ Josef Newgarden beat teammate Will Power in Friday’s Indianapolis 500 pit-stop challenge by recording a time of 10.263 seconds compared to Power’s 10.503 seconds — marking his second straight win and Team Penske’s 20th title; both will start from the final row on Sunday after their cars were flagged for an illegal part alteration.
