- ➤ Helio Castroneves returned to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for his 25th Indy 500 with a chance to become the first driver to win the race five times, but he finished 13th as Alex Palou earned his first victory—Castroneves started 22nd and lost the chance to break the oldest-winner record. WTHR
- ➤ The Pacers have built a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference finals and will host Game 3 on Sunday in Indiana—coach Rick Carlisle warned his team that no home game is easy despite strong wins in New York. Knicks guard Mikal Bridges said his team must overcome early struggles to avoid making history as the first team to lose the opening home games. WTHR
- ➤ Josef Newgarden, the two-time defending Indy 500 champion, started 32nd from the back row at the race and his day ended in Lap 140 on May 25th due to a fuel pressure problem + he said he wished he had a chance to fight for a three-peat. WTHR
- ➤ Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark, the first overall pick, is set to miss at least two weeks with a left quadriceps strain that will sideline her for the team’s upcoming four games starting May 28 — additional details will be shared after her re-evaluation. WTHR
