- ➤ Carmel Pride will celebrate its 5th anniversary on June 29 at Carter Green by the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts with events including a fashion show with prizes, a 1-mile Rainbow Color Run (from 9 to 10 a.m.), an outdoor drag show called the Sunset Showcase, and a $1,000 scholarship for a local resident. Senior director Michael Fortuna, a 2024 Carmel High School graduate, said the event continues to get strong support from Mayor Brainard and Mayor Finkam as it remains a beloved summer celebration. - ➤ Local artist Kira Shemesh became the Artist in Residence at College Wood Elementary after a PTO member praised her work featured in Current in Carmel in September 2024. For almost three months, she taught fluid art to students and led a painting class for teachers—helping set up a gallery walk that showcased student art. Current

- ➤ The Colts announced on Friday that late owner Jim Irsay, who died May 21, will be the 20th honoree in their Ring of Honor—this was revealed on what would have been his 66th birthday. He will be inducted at Lucas Oil Stadium during the Sept. 7 home opener against the Miami Dolphins and the team is planning additional events to honor his legacy. WTHR
