- ➤ Neighborhood swim clubs in Carmel have kicked off a short season for kids ages 5 to 14 that focuses on fun and community building— the Woodland Springs team, capped at 120 swimmers, began practices the day after Memorial Day and will run until June 26. Current

- ➤ Strawberry growers from Spencer Farm and Chandler’s Orchard described very different yields this season after heavy spring rains and hail affected their crops—Spencer Farm produced 95% of its usual strawberries while Chandler’s Orchard produced about 75%, and both farms plan to offer picks later this week. - ➤ Starting Line Preschool in Carmel has completed its 30th year after being founded in 1994 by Diane Atkins — a local 1985 graduate who focused on teaching life skills — and now serves 25 to 30 young children from age 2 to Pre-K.
