- ➤ Polo at Sunset will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 20 at Hickory Hall Polo Club in Whitestown—proceeds will benefit The Heroes Club to support local first responders with training grants, equipment purchases, and insurance benefits for families. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Today, Saint Mary’s College recognized 15 Hamilton County students — including 10 from Carmel, 2 from Fishers and 3 from Noblesville — by naming them to the Spring dean’s list. Students earned the honor by meeting a minimum 3.6 GPA requirement, completing at least 12 credit hours and maintaining no grades lower than a C. The Hamilton County Reporter

- ➤ At a coffee shop on Main Street in Carmel, Brandon Leum leads his nonprofit Building a Refuge to help men talk about mental health and support one another. He started the group in 2018 after losing his brother to suicide — his in-person meetings and podcast aim to lower the stigma around seeking help. WTHR
- ➤ Community MD Anderson Cancer Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new Carmel facility at 11911 N.
