Good morning, Carmel.

The Carmel Clay Schools Board of Trustees will decide on a new referendum option at 6 p.m. June 24 at the Educational Services Center.

The proposal would adjust funding to $62 million a year over eight years (expected to lower the average tax bill by $650 by 2028).

On June 10, Carmel Parks & Recreation pitched its plan to share Oden Woods with Carmel Clay Schools to build Veterans Park and Veterans Greenway — a 1.6-acre park and connecting trail near Carmel Middle School and the Herron Club, with the board set to vote later this summer.
