Good morning, Carmel.

Artist Jim Brune spent 175 hours painting Americana Eagle with watercolors on American Black Walnut wood from Indiana to honor the U.S. semiquincentennial.

The painting is on display (22 N. Range Line Rd, Carmel) and for sale at $11,000.

Carmel celebrated its 50th anniversary with a time capsule dedication at the Carmel Clay History Museum on June 13, where local dignitaries and community members contributed letters that will be opened in 2076.
