Columnist Sue Wolfgang recounts Carmel's history from 14 Quaker-plotted lots in 1837 to its city incorporation in 1976 and marks a full circle moment as she and longtime friend Sharon Ealy (a former city staffer) share memories ahead of a class reunion in September.

On March 23, Carmel resident Olivia Sandlin underwent a below-the-knee amputation with Indiana doctors using a new hydrogel cap to help reduce nerve pain.
