COMMUNITY NEWS

  • At CarmelFest on July 3, a little girl asked to speak with her school resource officer, Officer Morris, after learning he had ended his shift. Carmel police arranged a FaceTime call with him—reassuring her and showing the care they have for keeping our community safe.  Current
  • The Village of WestClay in Carmel has transformed from empty fields to a vibrant community over the past 25 years—now home to 5,000 residents with a thriving business district and walkable neighborhoods. City officials and residents look forward to anniversary events planned later this month that celebrate its unique design and growth.  Current

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that paving work on U.S. 31 in Carmel will begin July 14 and will close lanes between 116th and 216th Street nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.—one lane will remain open until the project is complete. Weather conditions may change the schedule of work between Carmel and Westfield.  Current

SPORTS NEWS

  • Indiana Pacers President Kevin Pritchard confirmed Tyrese Haliburton will miss the entire 2025-26 NBA season after his surgery to repair a torn right Achilles tendon. Haliburton was injured during Game 7 of the NBA Finals and underwent surgery the following night at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.  WTHR
