  • The Magnificent Fall debuted last night at the Phoenix Theatre Cultural Centre and will run through July 20—its clever writing, strong acting, and creative design bring the true story of Annie Edson Taylor to life.   • Longtime USA Today sports columnist Christine Brennan will present her book (On Her Game: Caitlin Clark and the Revolution in Women’s Sports) at Carmel Clay Public Library from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on July 11, where she will discuss the impact of the Fever star and issues in women’s sports, with the book set for release on July 8.  Current

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Award-winning artists will serve as guest mentors for The Songbook Academy summer intensive at Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel from July 12 to 19. Michael Feinstein, Jessie Mueller, Nikki Renée Daniels and others will lead masterclasses and private workshops while public events on July 15, 17 and 19 offer both in-person and livestream options.  The Hamilton County Reporter

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State Road 32 near Noblesville is being upgraded with a new roundabout and a tunnel for the Midland Trace pedestrian Trail—expected to reduce downtown traffic by 25%—and will be completed in about 75 days; local businesses are experiencing short-term challenges while officials plan for smoother travel once the project is finished.  WRTV
  • Today, INDOT continues overnight lane and ramp closures on I-465 eastbound from U.S. 31/Meridian Street to Keystone Avenue from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., with one right lane and its entrance ramp closed. On July 10 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., three right lanes and the exit ramp marked Exit 33 will be closed near Keystone Avenue, and on July 11 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., two right lanes on I-465 northbound along with ramps connecting to I-70 will be closed — INDOT advises drivers to slow down and stay alert as work is weather dependent.  The Hamilton County Reporter

  • Today, five Hamilton County baseball players received All-State Honorable Mention from the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association for the 2025 season, including Joe Glander of Noblesville, Mayo Fernandez, Huston Dunn and Zander Carnahan of Fishers, and JD Stein of Carmel.  The Hamilton County Reporter
  • Hamilton County golfers won 10 age group titles at the Buffy & Alice Mayerstein Age Group Championships last Tuesday and Wednesday at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth.
