- ➤ Sophia Hulen—a member of Llama Trekkers—was crowned the 2025 Hamilton County 4-H Queen at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds in Noblesville last Friday after finishing as first runner-up in 2024. The 18-year-old, who has been a 4-H member for 10 years, will soon start as a freshman at DePauw University. The Hamilton County Reporter

- ➤ On July 12, Carmel unveiled the 'Taking Flight' sculpture by artist Jason Klimoski in the roundabout at Main Street & Richland Avenue. City officials from Carmel Clay Public Library and the Carmel Redevelopment Commission said the work marks a striking new entrance to the Arts & Design District. The Hamilton County Reporter

- ➤ Sandra Hall, 64, credits timely screenings for saving her life after two serious aortic aneurysms—she said she would have been dead without being checked. Ascension St. Vincent now offers $79 trivascular screenings for residents 55 or older with risk factors, and appointments are available in Carmel and other centers. WTHR
