- ➤ Citizens Action Coalition reports that Hoosiers now pay an extra $28 per month for electricity— a 17.5% increase that is the highest in 20 years. Investor-owned utilities received government approval to raise rates as summer demand climbs, adding to the cost challenges for many households. WTHR

- ➤ The Carmel Plan Commission reviewed a 23-page U.S. 31 sub-area plan at its July 17 meeting to set guidelines for future development of the corridor and address rising vacancy issues—models for urban architecture and amenities were discussed.
