- ➤ Today, the City of Carmel announced road construction projects that may affect traffic when Carmel Clay Schools begin classes Aug. 6. The projects include installing raised pedestrian crosswalks on Towne Road, reopening a roundabout at 116th Street on Aug. 5, partial reconstruction of College Avenue, bridge work on 126th Street through October, and the closure of the Clay Center Road bridge by December + work will continue through the fall.
