EDUCATION NEWS

  • On August 11, Carmel Clay Schools Superintendent Thomas Oestreich unveiled a draft three-year plan with six strategic goals—one focusing on effective communication and future-ready technology and another proposing a transparency webpage. The plan calls for redistricting to rebalance enrollment and a safety referendum renewal in 2026, with the school board set to vote on Aug. 25.  Current

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A boil water advisory is in effect today for residents west of U.S. 31 after a major drop in pressure hit Carmel’s largest water main on Monday—affecting nearly half of the city’s customers, including businesses and schools. City officials are testing the water and expect to lift the advisory by Wednesday morning as schools and hospitals receive bottled water supplies.  WRTV

  • Former Indiana Fever head coach and general manager Lin Dunn was honored Tuesday night during the game against Dallas with the team's first Inspiring Women Award— the award will now be named in her honor to recognize her 55 years of empowering women.  WTHR
