- ➤ A boil water advisory is in effect today for residents west of U.S. 31 after a major drop in pressure hit Carmel’s largest water main on Monday—affecting nearly half of the city’s customers, including businesses and schools. City officials are testing the water and expect to lift the advisory by Wednesday morning as schools and hospitals receive bottled water supplies. WRTV
