Good morning, Carmel.

Early fall migration has begun as birds such as hummingbirds and hawks fly over Indiana toward warmer areas — colder weather and shorter days signal the start of their long journey.

In July, Carmel city councilors debated a rezoning request for Michigan Road, a 1.8-mile stretch from 96th to 116th that many see as underused & may lead to coordinated redevelopment with nearby towns when the county TIF district ends in 2031.

The Colts traded their sixth-round pick next year for cornerback Mekhi Blackmon on Monday night+ the team must cut their preseason roster by 4 p.m. today as they prepare for the season.
