- ➤ Carmel runner Scott Kennedy organized an American Cancer Society Benefit Dinner on Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Prime 47 to raise $7,000 to $10,000—each $150 ticket donates $25 to support cancer research, and Kennedy will run the Dublin marathon in October with his Carmel Runners Club to honor loved ones who battled cancer. - ➤ Carmel officials updated road projects today as the Towne Road crosswalk installation with raised LED beacons keeps the 136th Street intersection closed throughout September. They added that the 141st Street intersection will close after the current work, the Clay Center Bridge is under construction and will remain closed until November, and construction on the 96th Street path nears early completion—INDOT’s Level Up 31 project is set to begin in late September.
