GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Mike Braun and the Office of Commerce launched Power Up Indiana on Tuesday using a $10 million appropriation to provide grants that help Indiana workers move into higher paying positions. The program offers reimbursement of $50,000 per employer and $5,000 per employee — an effort aimed at boosting skills and job mobility. WTHR
- ➤ Carmel City Councilors are challenging Mayor Sue Finkam’s plan to use $1.8 million in 2026 arts funds to launch Experience Carmel—an initiative that would shift key staff from the Marketing and Communications Department and manage 47 city events.
