- ➤ Matt Sowder grew up in Carmel and graduated from Carmel High School in 2001; he studied at Indiana University where his interest in exercise physiology led him to become a physical therapist. - ➤ Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms will co-headline a benefit concert at the Fishers Event Center on Feb. 20 for Hamilton Southeastern Schools plus tickets cost between $34 and $134 and will be on sale Friday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. A silent auction featuring hundreds of unique items will also be held during the Legacy Celebration. - ➤ Carmel resident Jada Jones, 13, won the Miss Indiana Jr. Teen title at the Indiana chapter of the National American Miss pageant held from Aug. 30th to Sept. 1st at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown + earned an invitation to compete for the national crown. She will vie for the title from Nov. 22nd to Nov. 29th at the Universal Orlando Resort + her platform, SWISH, promotes mental health and provides sports equipment to underfunded communities. Current

- ➤ A Hamilton County business owner said Wilson Farm Market near 256th Street will lose its main access as INDOT plans safety upgrades along U.S. 31 to reduce crashes. INDOT will close 256th Street in 2026 and build interchanges at 236th and 276th — a decision driven by cost and safety concerns — as officials work to improve emergency response routes. WRTV

- ➤ Costco is recalling Kirkland Signature Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke sold last week due to listeria found in green onions — the recall covers 3,314.7 pounds with a pack date of Sept. 18 and a sell-by date of Sept. 22 sold in 33 states including Carmel — and customers should discard the product for a full refund. - ➤ The Colts were without Pro Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore II after he exited their Week 3 win over the Titans with a calf injury and was expected to miss a couple of weeks. One day later, the team signed veteran cornerback Mike Hilton to the practice squad—he has eight years of NFL experience and last played under defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. WTHR
