- ➤ Indiana Representative Danny Lopez was named a Champion Freshman Legislator by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Angela Brill of Prosperity Advisors was honored on Investment News’ $100M List—Hamilton County Community Foundation also received a $100,000 grant as local groups announced new leadership and upcoming events such as the Cherish Center breakfast on Oct. 2 and Ivy Tech’s State of the Campus on Oct. 3. Mike Braun appointed Suzie Jaworowski, Dollyne Sherman, and Cory Cochran to a seven-member committee that will choose new members for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission as ratepayers face rising utility costs. - ➤ Carmel High School senior quarterback Anthony Coellner said he credits his improved accuracy to coach Kevin Wright’s run—pass option offense as he recovered from a high ankle sprain and broken tibia that limited his play last season. He aims to finish with over 70 percent completions and strong yardage while leading the team in their pursuit of a state championship and preparing to join NCAA Division I FBS Troy University. - ➤ USA Gymnastics is relocating its headquarters from downtown Indianapolis to Noblesville while planning a national training and wellness center on Noblesville’s Innovation Mile—local sports leaders said this move will boost training opportunities for athletes as they prepare for future Olympic and World Championship events.
