Good morning, Carmel.

Carmel City Council’s finance committee sent the ordinance on city employee salaries back to the full council with a negative recommendation after a two-hour discussion—employees voiced frustration over changes following a detailed salary study designed to update job titles and offer merit-based raises. The council will review the proposal at its Oct.6 meeting, and no pay cuts are expected for current employees.

Hamilton County officials announced Sept.

Fred Glynn, a former council member, said the county had not finalized its agreement with Prevail to operate the center—he noted it was not prioritized amid other large expenditures.
