  • The Humane Society for Hamilton County’s shelter at 10501 Hague Rd in Fishers is over capacity with 142 dogs in its 124 kennels—some are kept in offices not meant for long-term care. Fewer adoptions and a rise in surrenders from Marion County have added to the strain, HSHC President and CEO Rebecca Stevens said.  Current

  • On Oct. 2, the Center for Justice and Exoneration Network will host the E.A.T. conference at Embassy Suites Noblesville from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.—registration opens at 11 a.m. and nationally recognized speakers will discuss wrongful convictions on International Wrongful Conviction Day.  Current

  • The Las Vegas Aces beat the short-handed Indiana Fever 84-72 Friday night in Game 3 of the WNBA semifinals with Jackie Young scoring 25 points and NaLyssa Smith adding 16, and the Aces now lead the series 2-1 — Game 4 will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Indianapolis.  WTHR
