CULTURE NEWS

  • Carmel Christkindlmarkt will run from Nov. 22 to Dec. 24 at Carter Green, and for the first time a free shuttle will carry visitors from the CNO Financial Center—located at 550 College Dr—to the market entrance on Saturdays and Sundays. Two ADA-accessible shuttles with a 69-person capacity will run every 15 minutes during market hours.  Current

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Carmel Clay Schools presented a tentative teacher bargaining agreement for the 2025-26 school year to the CCS board at a special session on Oct 3 that allowed public comment and explanation of the terms. The agreement, which includes a 2% base pay increase and revised teacher evaluations, will be ratified on Oct 14 at 6 p.m. at the Educational Services Center — approved by a 459-26 vote of the Carmel Teachers Association.  Current

SPORTS NEWS

  • The World Aquatics Swimming World Cup will take place from Oct. 10 to Oct. 12 at the Carmel High School Natatorium — the start of the short course season and the first of three North American meets. Preliminary heats begin daily at 10 a.m. and most finals are held at 6 p.m., with competitors earning $10,000 for each world record set.  Current
  • The Colts signed 30-year-old kicker Michael Badgley after Spencer Shrader suffered a season-ending knee injury. Badgley is returning for his third stint with the team and recently played for the Lions (he has also been with the Chargers, Titans, Bears, and Commanders).  WTHR
