  • Carmel residents Elizabeth Clements and Corbin Jackson founded Jackson Plumbing Services in May after nearly 10 years in the plumbing field and a costly repair sparked their change—now they plan to grow organically and have their kids help with the business.  Current

SPORTS NEWS

  • The second-ranked Carmel Greyhounds beat Lawrence Central 36-33 after blocking a last-second field goal to secure their eighth win of the season—Carmel now finishes the regular season at 8-1 while Lawrence Central ends with a 4-5 record.  WTHR
  • Fort Wayne Komets defeated Indy Fuel 4-0 in the season opener at the Fishers Event Center, with Nathaniel Day stopping all 27 shots and Jayden Grubbe scoring and assisting a goal. Indy Fuel will host Toledo Walleye today at 7 p.m. — the game falls on Military Appreciation Night.  WTHR
  • Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner attended a press conference in full IU gear after Indiana beat Oregon 30-20—he fulfilled a wager with an outfit provided by Colts owner Kalen Jackson. The Colts will face the Chargers on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium—adding a lighthearted twist before the game.  WTHR
