  • The playground at Potter’s Bridge Park in Noblesville now has a new play structure with features including a slide, rope ladder, rotating loop rings, and a glider track. Hamilton County Parks and Recreation removed the old 1999 equipment and installed the update at (19401 Allisonville Rd) using funds from its 2025 project budget, and the park is open to the public.  Current
  • Carmel residents have a busy fall schedule as the 17th annual Ghosts & Goblins Race will take place at Carmel High School at 9 a.m. Oct. 25 with both 5k and 1-mile options, and Trick-or-Treat is set for Oct. 31 with early Halloween trash pickup ensuring safer streets—today at 11:30 a.m., Hamilton County leaders will cut the ribbon at the new Rely Center in Noblesville to support urgent mental health and substance use services.  Current

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Carmel High School’s a cappella group Select Sound will perform at the Disney Candlelight Processional at Epcot Center on Dec. 21 in Orlando—joining the Disney Orchestra and Voices of Liberty. The students have raised funds through small events and Christmas caroling gigs to help cover the trip costs.  Current

  • Carmel-based AI startup OrthoPop recently announced an app for medical students and doctors to help diagnose and treat muscle and joint pain. The app uses smart computer tools to lower mistakes in diagnosing bone fractures and chronic joint problems—its design was inspired by local foot doctor Douglas Blacklidge.  Current
