- ➤ Gov. Braun says his administration is reshaping Indiana’s economic development to support small businesses and entrepreneurship—drawing on his Main Street roots and launching initiatives like the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and STARTedUp for Hoosier students—while he hopes to expand these efforts to all 92 counties. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Indiana health officials met on Wednesday morning to discuss the diabetes crisis that has affected nearly 700,000 Hoosiers, and they reported that over 45,000 additional cases will be reported in the next year with young people increasingly at risk. Dr. Virginia Caine and other experts stressed that barriers to affordable care have led to steps such as employer-supported medication subsidies—measures that aim to improve overall diabetes management in the state.
