Former city councilor Sue Potasnik, who served from 1980 to 1988 and was council president in 1983, died on Nov 21.

Dr. Adam Hicks of Franciscan Health advised that men ages 65 to 75 with a smoking history get an ultrasound screening for aneurysms to catch the silent threat before complications arise.
He explained that modern stent procedures repair aneurysms larger than 5 to 5.5 centimeters — typically with a one-night hospital stay and a 7 to 10 day recovery period.
