GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Carmel City Council approved a new ordinance and opened an online system on Dec. 1 for residents to register rental properties. (Legacy dwellings registered by Jan. 31 receive permits even if rental limits in subdivisions exceed 10%, ensuring compliance with the new requirements.) Current
- ➤ Gov. Mike Braun authorized 300 Hoosier-based National Guard soldiers to deploy to Washington, DC in December at the request of the D.C. National Guard. The soldiers from Bloomington and Gary will train at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh and replace other states’ units in a mission lasting up to four months. WTHR
